COSMETIC IMPERFECTIONS

COSMETIC DEFECTS AND DEFECTS

Today we are concerned (and worried) about a silent enemy of the cosmetics industry in particular and of the planet in general that is rarely talked about and that we all suffer from: Defects. Not mental ones; we are referring to products that have scratches, bumps, screen printing errors… wounds and scars that change their shape and history but not their substance. And that we do not put in the hands of the final consumer. That we throw away. That go to the trash.

IS THE PROBLEM REALLY THAT BIG?... AREN’T YOU EXAGGERATING?

Well, defects account for 5-10% of EVERYTHING we manufacture: 5-10% of the containers, 5-10% of the packaging, 5-10% of the boxes… that 5-10% is assumed to be derived from a 'normal' manufacturing process. The more volume you manufacture… the more defects you will end up with; do the math. No matter how much you meet high quality standards, check every step of the process and every detail…, in every production line, there will be errors.

Well no; there is one thing that we do NOT overlook and do not assume: that the inside is perfect. We test it when we have it 'in the pot', before packaging it, after packaging it and, EVERY time we move it from one place to store it in another. It is called traceability. To ensure that what you throw in your face is always in perfect condition.

SO BEAUTY IS ON THE INSIDE THEN?

The teapot was singing it for a reason. The packaging may be dented, the logos poorly printed… but the juice ALWAYS maintains its quality intact. Its active ingredients work just as well, it is still 100% safe, and its expiration date is guaranteed. Except, well, they won't win any beauty contests.

But of course… on the one hand… who is the brave person who 'sells' these products? Because of the fear of hate, because someone takes a photo of you and uploads it to social media… for whatever reason, we end up throwing all these idiots in the trash. We try to be sustainable and then we discard and generate unnecessary waste that could have been avoided, not to mention the waste already incurred in the manufacturing process.

In our case, when we started selling creams back in 2021, we gave away creams to colleagues and acquaintances. But with the volumes we handle now… well, we can’t keep up. And right now, if you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering… well, if you’re going to throw it away… give it to me! We’ve reached the salami:

LONG LIVE THE FLAWED

This idea of 'assuming' that there is 10% of 'waste' that you throw away 'just because' really bothers us: for sustainability, for ethics, for business... even though we are the industry of 'artificial beauty' and 'pretending'... our belly buttons turn every time we think about the waste we generate with products that could brighten your face.

So this year, we're going to give our little morons a second chance. Pay attention, there's a promo coming that is in itself a first-class statement of intent. Our first Outlet. A way for you to save money to finish the January slope, invest in your face and also contribute to reducing waste.
